In the words of my cousin Emily... "Goodbye Christmas... Hello stress." :P I hate to think that my Christmas break is COMPLETELY OVER. Not only that, but now school is getting more complicated in more ways than one, I'm meeting new people, I'm trying to grow in my relationship with the Lord and I am constantly being overwhelmed by the daily bumps in the road: (literally and figuratively- got my permit!) friends, siblings, money and the occasional big ugly "B" on a homework assignment. Sometimes I just feel like giving up. Like crawling under the sofa along with the forgotten toys and ponytail holders. (And the occasional 25 cents!!) In result, I have been trying to focus on the little things... the small little moments that I otherwise might not even think about. Examples. Getting away from the house is a must, especially with four sibs including a baby... So going to the grocery store with my mom (aka best friend) and catching up is a favorite that completely and totally makes my week. Picking up a few boxes of cereal and some lemons may not make everyone happy, but it means the world to me to be with my mom. :)
Emily Clement. Every moment with her is amazing. No words. I can cry, I can laugh, I can sit there with no makeup on and she loves me for who I am. I am the luckiest girl in the WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD to have a mom like mine, and a friend like Ems.
So this week (or however long it's gonna be before I blog- remind me guys!) please remember to focus on the little things... like emptying the dish washer for your mom, writing your best friend a note, or giving your daddy a hug. :)
Most importantly, keep Him first.
Sincerely,
Sarah :)
This week's verse:
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
