I was never that girl in school who got got excited about arts and crafts. We all know that person who had their glue stick in one hand and was fistpumpin' the other... I was this kid: the one who didn't like cutting because she could never get the edges straight. The one who didn't like gluing because everything that wasn't supposed to stick stuck and that really messy kid to the left always glued his Thanksgiving turkey to her cornucopia. The only one in the class who didn't like anything that stuck to her hands, leaving the stray hairs from her ponytail hanging in her face and nothing... nothing to do about it. Yeah, I was that kid.
Well nine years later the crafter inside me had yet to emerge... Until now. :)
I saw this on Pinterest... The cutest idea for a gift and I knew I had to make it for someone.
You take deck of cards, type up 52 things you love about that person, cut out the list items, tape them on the cards, hole punch the cards, and put them together like a book. Genius, right? :)
I made this for Emily's 16th... My labor of love for her. Literally that, a labor. 3 hours, y'all.
But in the end it was totally worth it and (thankfully!!) she loved it. :)
And who knows? Maybe the crafter inside of me is starting to emerge... Then again, let's not get our hopes up.
