Dear Anonymous,
There's no reason that you need to insult me or anyone here on this blog with your comments and I would appreciate it if you would please stop. There's no point in doing so because I know that my steadfast Savior is who I find my ultimate salvation and it is He who I look to to find my identity. I know Jesus was sent by his Father to earth just for you and me to save us from this pit of misery and sin that we are living in today. Thanks be to God that He sent His son to be blameless and pure just for us. "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." 2 Corinthians 5:21 He lived a persecuted life, never tripping up by thinking evil thoughts or acting in sin. Blameless and pure. Philippians 2:135 says, "so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe." This is talking about why Jesus made the sacrifice that he did... Dying on the cross and bearing our sin. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". We are helpless without Him. We are unable to survive without Him. That's why He was beaten with whips and shards of glass. He was crowned with a crown made of thorns. He was nailed to the cross- his hands and feet, and scoffed at by the ones he was dying to save. So, why did He die? Because of OUR sin. Because of sinful acts we commit against one another. Because of thinking bad thoughts about someone. Because of mean words we say. We deserve to die. Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternall life in Christ Jesus our Lord." He took our guilt, our shame, our sin on Himself just before willingly laying down his life for us. But that's not even the best part- After three days He rose again from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:14 says, "and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.") and ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father Almighty. 1 Peter 4:1-6: 1 "Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries. In regard to these, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you. They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. For this reason the gospel was preached also to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit." Without the Lord, we are destined to live eternally in hell. He has risen from the grave, He has washed our sin away, He had made us clean. When we accept Him as our Savior, He forgets our sins and welcomes us lovingly into His arms as His beloved children.
